Day 17 | 100 Days of Self Care

FullSizeRender-1I had to reschedule a “meeting” with a dear friend today. I didn’t like doing it, but I had to.

If you are are freelancer or work for yourself, I’m sure you understand the phrase “feast or famine.” Things are on the upswing, so time management can be tricky. I have a few projects pending and I need to tie up some loose ends.

I still felt crummy, but at the same time I knew it had to be done. Thankfully, my friend is awesome and supportive. Love that about her.

Today’s Self Care Stats:

  • Braved the cold, so Sky could play with other pups
  • Gratitude awareness
  • Took a long, hot shower without rushing (and before 2AM)
  • Gathered up some supplies for lunch bags going to the homeless/hungry
  • Ate raspberries

How I felt

I know buying stuff to give away might seem like “care for someone else”, as opposed to “self care,” but here’s the interesting thing. It made me happy. My husband and I have been working our tails off and were able to spare a little extra for someone else. It was a joy putting goodies in a bag intended for someone who needs it.

Take away point

Self care comes in SO many forms.
