Day 20 | 100 Days of Self Care

When the kids request that you name their shells (from dinner), you do. Introducing: Oscar and Fiona. They live with us now. Sky often tries to steal them, but we keep his husky shenanigans to a minimum.

Today’s Self Care Stats:

  • Gratitude awareness
  • Lots of hauling out of stuff we no longer need or use
  • Finally made some progress with my household binder (perfect for keeping finances, tasks, vehicle maintenance logs, etc)
  • Getting closer to finishing a few pending tasks

How I felt

Less internal work today, it was more outward and dealing with my surroundings. It was good though. I think sometimes things get a little stale, a little unmoving, a little cluttered…. today was primarily about tearing through the house and getting things cleared O.U.T. [Don’t come over.]

I’m already feeling a little lighter. Once I get my surroundings back in order, I’ll be focusing on moving myself more. Like my painting project, I’ve got a post-it note with ideas of things I’d like to do… this time it includes words like yoga, walking, running, and hula hooping. Yep, I haven’t hooped since it got cooler out, so I may have to stake out space somewhere here and get to it.

Take away point

Spring cleaning doesn’t HAVE to happen in spring. Below freezing temperatures of February will do.
