Day 50 | 100 Days of Self Care

What started as a belly ache turned into feeling well enough to rake a little. Let me say this: self care is insanely hard with kids around. Single parents, my heart goes out to you. You probably need self care more than anyone I know. I have a two parent household and it’s still hard on so many levels.

But also, there is reward.

Today’s Self Care Stats:

  • Healthy breakfast
  • Quality time with my not-so-little-anymore guy
  • Tried another new healthy recipe for dinner
  • Early to bed
  • HAPPY DAY 50!!!

How I felt

From a self care standpoint, I was a little frustrated. I didn’t get to go for a walk and I’m starting to realize how much I really lean on that walk after I put the kids on the bus. With my daughter sick all last week, I’ve been really looking forward to getting back on track. But there’s nothing I can do, so I had to let it go.

Take away point

Cultivating healthy habits to the point of being frustrated when we can’t do them is SUCH a good thing.
