Day 72 | 100 Days of Self Care

A teeny watercolor raspberry.

“My advice is to make your passions a consistent priority,” she said. “When you are parenting small children, devoting time to yourself each day simply for self-care can make a radical difference.”  Read this article. It speaks to me in volumes and it might speak to you too.

Today’s Self Care Stats:

How I felt

Some days it’s a miracle we make it to the bus. This morning my daughter had her heart set on wearing a hat – which was forgotten – and being super pressed for time, I took the initiative and ran inside to get it. Cutting across the front lawn, I bounded over the piles of snow placing my feet where the ground was peeking out. This doesn’t sound like a big deal, but it is. Truthfully, I haven’t been able to put that kind of stress on my knee in almost a year. “There are no shocks in my knee anymore,” is how I’ve been describing it.

Take away point

Tiny miracles have a way of popping up when you least expect them. I’ll take it.
