When I was a kid I would sketch eyes all the time. When I was in college I had a self-portrait assignment. I spend more than half my time on the eyes. Even now, I’ll doodle eyes on napkins at diners and on sidewalks with big pieces of chalk.
Never once have I tried to create an eye out of watercolor. Here’s my first attempt.
Today’s Self Care Stats:
- Light, healthy breakfast
- 1 mile walk with the pup
- Knee stretches/exercises
- Ankle exercises
- Hanging out in the sunshine with the kids
- Another walk. This one 1.5 miles
- Watercolor studies
- Gratitude awareness
- Art reading
- More planning on my marketing class
- Delightful hot shower
- Normal bedtime
How I felt
A little sore in my upper body from hurling softballs yesterday. It’s a good reminder to warm up gradually and to stretch these places.
Take away point
