Day 88 | 100 Days of Self Care

IMG_9844I think this one is worth repeating: “In our own woundedness, we can become sources of life for others.”  -Henri J.M. Nouwen

Today’s Self Care Stats:

  • Coffeeee! (yes. this is self care.)
  • Baseball parade followed up by watching my guy play
  • Mini watercolor play
  • baby chicks lovin’s
  • Inspiring reading
  • Campfire and visiting with family

How I felt

Very rushed and busy day, but there were moments of rest and stillness. Like before the beginning of the parade when we realized we were early. Or before leaving for the big guy’s game, but we didn’t have to rush out *just* yet. Or while waiting for the game to begin when my daughter and I played with watercolors. And then later, around a campfire feeling full of the stories we’ve heard and shared a million times and somehow they are still that good.

Take away point

When someone lights up in their life, after so much woundedness, it can have an interesting and profound way of showing up.
